Induced Air Flotation is an efficient wastewater treatment equipment widely used for purifying industrial wastewater in industries such as papermaking, chemical, printing and dyeing, and food.

Induced Air Flotation

working principle

Bubble generation: Induced Air Flotation injects "microbubbles" directly into wastewater through an aerator, and uses the diffuser impeller at the bottom of the air delivery pipe to rotate at high speed, forming a vacuum zone in the water, allowing the air on the liquid surface to be sucked into the water, generating microbubbles.

Floating of suspended solids: Due to the density imbalance between the gas water mixture and the liquid, vertical upward buoyancy is generated, bringing solid suspended solids to the water surface. During the process of buoyancy, microbubbles will adhere to suspended solids, keeping them suspended on the water surface.

Scraping treatment: Suspended solids floating on the water surface are removed by a chain scraper. The scraper moves along the entire liquid surface, pushing the suspended solids from the inlet end of the air flotation tank to the sludge discharge pipeline at the outlet end, and finally sending them to the sludge collection tank.

Reflux design: Induced Air Flotation creates a negative pressure zone at the bottom of the tank, allowing wastewater to flow back to the aeration zone from the bottom of the tank, ensuring that the air flotation section can still operate without water ingress.

Equipment composition

Induced Air Flotation mainly consists of the following parts:

Box: Used to accommodate sewage and air flotation processes.

Aeration machine: a key component that generates microbubbles.

Scraping system: used to remove suspended solids floating on the water surface.

Sedimentation and sludge discharge section: used to treat suspended solids that sink.

Scum collection and drainage system: used for collecting and removing scum.

Overflow water outlet system: used to control the water level of the air flotation tank and the discharge of purified water.

advantage

Save investment: No need for pressure vessels, air compressors, circulation pumps and other equipment, low equipment investment, and small footprint.

Low operating costs: low energy consumption, simple operation, and minimal maintenance workload.

Good treatment effect: The removal rate of petroleum and suspended solids (SS) exceeds 80%, and the removal rate of BOD and COD can reach over 60%.

Easy to operate: The entire system consists of fewer mechanical components, making it easy to operate and manage.

application area

Induced Air Flotation is mainly used to treat industrial wastewater, such as paper, chemical, printing and dyeing, food, beer, pharmaceuticals, slaughter and other industries. It can effectively remove oil, gel and suspended solids from wastewater, reduce the discharge load of BOD, COD and SS.

performance parameter

Processing capacity: 5-500m ³/h.

Main shaft speed of aerator: 1450r/min.

Scraper speed: 5.16-25.8/min.

In summary, Induced Air Flotation is an efficient, energy-saving, and easy-to-use wastewater treatment equipment suitable for purifying various industrial wastewater.
